Day 39 St Francisville to Franklinton. 86 miles
So yesterday was an off day and I did nothing. I did get a massage though. Didn't realize how much I needed it.
Today we rode over 3000 ft of climbing for 86 miles. Not too much to say about it except there was hills, hills, and more hills and tons of traffic. Cars, semis and logging trucks with very little shoulders on some of he roads. You thought you had roller coaster hills but the roll didn't take you very far up. You had to work to get to the top of each one.
We were asked to stop and say hello to Earl (Bubbas friend) who waits every year for the riders to come by. He doesn't go anywhere so he gets pretty lonesome and the riders make his day every year. A nice man who talks so fast with his Louisiana accent I had a hard time understanding him.
That's about it for today. Scenery, hills and more hills. Goodbye Louisiania and Hello Mississippi. Tomorrow we enter another state- our 6th state Mississippi.
