Day 47. DeFuniak Springs to Marianna 69 Miles

Great weather for our ride to Marianna. Bubba's route took us along the old historic part of DeFuniak Springs where there is a lake and beautiful historical sites and mansions.   It was a great way to start the day.  We spent the rest of the day  riding on Highway 90 through small towns and the road was wonderful.  It's the same highway 90 that we rode on in Texas only Florida takes care of their roads.  Right before our camp site on the hill was a frozen yogurt shop. It's like in Alameda you pay by the weight.  I only had $6 left from my hunch and bought a small one.  It was so good  and I wasn't satisfied so I borrowed money from Balt and bought another one and a cup of coffee.  Balt is such an interesting man.  He's a lawyer and has met all the presidents in the Oval Office starting with Carter.  He's a lot of fun.  His wife is here for the final week riding with him.

We camped out for the last time.  Our tents are dried out, cleaned and put away.  Not too sad about it. I always seemed to be in the back 40 and miles from the bathroom.  So goodbye tents.
