Day 16 Columbus NM to Del Paso Tx
Goodbye New Mexico. Hello Texas
Not much to write about today. 75 miles of desert. When I looked across the miles from Mexico to our road through the desert its hard to believe that a person wants to live in the US and will take their life in their hands to cross the desert. Cold at night and hot during the day and always the border patrol is looking for you.
I flatted about 1 mile before the rest stop and as I took off the tire here came Krash to the rescue. He pulled up behind me and fixed my flat. I learned that you should use baby or talcum powder on your tubes to prevent them from sticking to the tire. Good info. I have some pictures that Ellen took of Krash fixing my tire but they haven't transferred over yet. I'll do another random bunch of pics tonite and label them. Off to take my laundry down and to take off on a. 61 mile ride to Van Horn.
