Day 20 Marfa to Marathon
57 miles on a fantastic fabulous road. Sure made up for the day before. Went in to Alpine and had coffee and muffins which was at miles 25. Then it was more scenic riding until the end. We came upon a ghost bike out here. So sad to see...Rest in Peace and may we not see another one on this road.
We're staying at an RV park which is very nice. Camping out.
Bubba drove a few of us to a hippie area which are was really cool. We met the owner. Her name is Ingrid and she came from Austin TX. Austin became too big for her and she drove to Big Bend and never left. Her place is on AirBNB. Cyclists are given the first night free. She lets whoever rents the places build whatever they want. It's quite a place. Wish I could show more pics of it but this doesn't allow but 3 maybe 4 pics at a time.
Tomorrow is an off day. The majority are going to Big Bend National Park but a few of us decided to stick around the campground and rest.
