Day 27 73 miles, day 28 59 miles,
Day 27 Concan to Kerriville. 73 miles.
Day 28 Kerriville to Blanco 59 miles
A fun day on our way to Kerrivile riding the Texas rollers and along the Guadalupe River. Beautiful country with green everywhere and plenty of trees. My kind of country. We rode past humongous ranches and one ranch that had exotic animals although we didn't see any. One of the ranches we rode past was the Faulkner Ranch which struck a bell with me. Wasn't that the ranch in the Bush era where Cheney was out hunting with his friend and accidentally shot him. We are halfway to Florida. Mark was at the halfway mark to take our picture. This staff is absolutely wonderful. They'll do anything to help you out. Couldn't go with a better group.
Our ride to Blanco started out beautiful with lots to see. Had lunch at a winery and then it all started. Hills, wind and good old chip seal. It was a grind only 20 miles but it seemed like it took forever. The chip seal made it hard to get any momentum on the hills and there were some steep grades. Enough said about yesterday. Everyone was complaining about how hard it was.
No picture having too much trouble with transferring. Sorry!
