Getting ready to go

Trying to decide how to pack was challenging.  I've done this ride and other long rides before but....
I have this great duffle bag that has sections and I really like it but it is heavy and we've been asked to keep the pounds down on each piece of luggage we bring.  30 pounds and my duffel bag was 9 pounds with nothing in it.  Just too bulky so I spent time deciding what I was going to use.  I came up with a suitcase, a backpack and a waterproof drysack for my sleeping bag.  A small bag with my bike stuff that we are asked to bring but will leave in the truck in case it's needed...  New tires, chain, tubes, etc.  I am finally satisfied.  Tomorrow we pick up the van and Friday we leave for San Diego,,
